Prayer Alert: Increasing Imminence
Signs are showing that the United States is prepared to strike Iran very soon.
This morning, it was reported that the United States has advised its Israeli Embassy staff to leave right away if they wish to do so - presumably before missiles start flying both ways. This, coupled with the public breakdown in negotiations, seems to indicate that President Trump may finally take action against the Ayatollah’s Regime.
Such action, far too late to help the more than 30,000 thousand protestors who died at the Regime’s hands while expecting President Trump to deliver on his promised rescue, will only be meaningful if it actually takes out the head of the snake by toppling the Regime entirely. A mere negotiation strike may force a few concessions from Iran, but it will not alter the current reality that Iran sponsors terror all over the world and is striving for nuclear weapons.
There are those that claim that toppling the Regime who chants “Death to America and Israel” is a bad idea because we never know who will replace it - and unfortunately, it is true that the bravest and boldest protestors who wished to have a nation friendly to the USA and Israel certainly will not be able to replace it now. But the question is, what do they expect to get worse? Do they expect a possibly worse regime to work on nuclear weapons, sponsor terror all over the world, brutally restrain its people, or manically focus on the destruction of the USA and Israel? All of these are things Iran’s Ayatollah does, while his people thirst and suffer.
It is difficult to say what will happen now, for there are no protestors left in the streets to immediately take over from toppled regime and to provide the ground force after arial strikes. But what is certain is that there is the chance that the Ayatollah and his brutal terrorist regime could soon be a thing of the past, and that we need to pray for the protection of our forces and for the nation of Israel that will likely bear the brunt of any Iranian retaliation. Further, we must humbly seek the blessing of the Lord on our forces in this fight, for “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” (Psalm 20:7).
Please pray for our leaders, our soldiers, and the people of Israel.
This account, from within Iran, is a heartbreaking story of the price protestors of the Iranian Regime must pay for their bravery, from one of those who is (thus far) still safe. There are far more than 30,000 stories that ended in death and have not been told. If the USA is to strike, we must be willing to end the Regime, not just extract a signature from it.
